Typically most people will enjoy 2 shells (100ml serves approx.). To make up a 200ml batch you'll need warm water (not hot) and 20g of MeloMelo Noble Kava Powder, our Kava Staining Bag and a mixing bowl.
The general rule is 10 parts water to 1 part MeloMelo Kava Powder. So if making up a batch for a few people use this metric. i.e 1000ml (1lt) water would require 100g MeloMelo Kava Powder.
Kava does have a very earthy taste, so commonly people will either take a chaser of a fruit juice shot or even eat some meats to cleanse the palate. There are many things people do now from sucking on lollipops, eating chocolate and really anything to refresh the mouth. Just bear in mind that Kava is most effective on an empty stomach, so avoid eating a meal with or before hand.
Some immediate effects might be some tingling in the mouth and sometimes people report mild numbing sensations. 10-15 minutes in your should be feeling relaxed and in some cases mild euphoria.
Space your shells 15-20 minutes apart for best results. As always Kava should always be enjoyed in moderation and can cause drowsiness.
No. It can be done with stockings, however we suggest using our Nylon Straining Bags due simply to quality of the product and we know it works well. You don't really want lumpy bits in your drink!
